A great flash series comes to an end, and Photoshop can be fun. (May contain a few spoilers)
Posted by finalnaruto Nov. 4, 2009 @ 3:34 PM ESTAs a good amount of people on Newgrounds know, the "Jerry" series has reached its end.
In my personal opinion, the author behind the series, Max Giraldi aka HotDiggedyDemon; has shown the skill level of a seasoned... novelist of sorts.
The entire series covers segments of four people's lives, Jerry, Jackie, Jerry's Dad, and Junior.
I can say with absolute certainty that it was a touching series that really made me feel the character's emotions and showed things that I can identify with.
Max, if you're reading this, I want to thank you. You gave me an inspiration that rarely comes to me. Your series really made me think about my own life, and what I've been through. I really identified with Jerry, and I when I think about it, I've gone through some similar stuff. (Well, besides the kid.)
Now, I'm sure that a few people might read this and think "Oh, he has daddy issues. Boo hoo hoo. Whatever." Well, the fact of the matter is, I used to have some 'daddy issues', but they have been long since resolved. And there might be a few people who might say "Whatever your dad did probably isn't even close to what my dad did to me."
Here's a heads-up: If someone does say that, I won't even comment, because I'm wise enough to know that doing so would just be asking for trouble.

I've been playing in Photoshop for about 4 days now, just trying to teach myself how to manipulate and other stuff. I draw a LOT, so a meager (or better) understanding of Photoshop will greatly assist me in my artistic pursuits.
Well, that's all for now. I'll probably make an expanded version of this a post on my personal blog, so you can find it there. My blog is my website link... on my profile, which is probably where you are right now, otherwise you probably wouldn't be able to read this.
